okay, so i've decided to start compiling pictures of state tattoos. why do you ask? well, i'm from ohio, and once i stopped living there, i figured it would be an appropriate time to get the <3 ohio tattoo i had been thinking of for a few years.
when we were kids growing up, my parents always used to take us on these epic road trips, and no matter how much fun we had in the 3 or 4 weeks we were gone it was always really nice to hit the ohio state line. i guess you can denote this attachment to the whole "I'M HOME!" part of life (and if you're one of my immediate family reading this, i'm sure you're rolling your eyes right now...). that and an ohio tattoo is just funny.
so... when i encounter a state tattoo in the wild, the plan is to photograph it and place it here- in hopes of one day getting all 50 (maybe even Puerto Rico...). AND if you happen upon this site and have a state tattoo of your own, feel free to pass it along. I know i could be a total cheater and just do a google image search for: "(insert state name here) tattoo", but what's the fun in that? i'd like to intercept these photos on a more personal level, by either being a super creeper and asking to take pictures of strangers, or having strangers e-mail me pictures.
look for the completed zine in 15 years (i'm trying to be realistic on photo collections...)
